During this very important Summer University, Dr. Mirela Metushaj took part as a panelist, delivering a presentation titled “Can Europe Deliver? Exploring the Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue and EU Mediation.” Her talk offered a critical examination of the EU’s role in mediating one of Europe’s most complex diplomatic challenges, contributing meaningful insights.
Under her academic mentorship, three talented students from the Master’s Program in International Relations and Diplomacy at the Faculty of Political Sciences and Law, UAMD, Adela Domi, Elda Marku and Laurenc Qoku, had the incredible opportunity to participate in the 30th International Summer University in Kőszeg, Hungary .
Thanks to full scholarships provided by the Institute of Advanced Studies Kőszeg (iASK) and the strong academic cooperation established under the frames of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between UAMD and iASK, this experience became a reality.
Throughout the week, students engaged in discussions centered on global challenges, diplomacy, democratic resilience, the future of Europe, and sustainable development. They also benefited greatly from internationalization, meeting and exchanging ideas with peers and professors from around the world. These experiences not only deepened their academic understanding but also fostered intercultural dialogue, critical thinking, and a stronger sense of their role as global citizens.
We’re proud of our students for representing UAMD with curiosity, passion, and professionalism, and we are thankful to iASK for fostering meaningful academic exchange, investing in future leaders and supporting the internationalization of our university community.
