As part of the ongoing activities of the BECEE Project, Aleksandër Moisiu University of Durrës (UAMD), 11 May 2026 successfully hosted the workshop “Empowering Innovation: Industry Insights for the Next Generation of Entrepreneurs”, bringing students closer to the realities of the business world and fostering stronger links between higher education and industry.

The workshop provided students with a unique opportunity to gain first-hand insights into entrepreneurship, innovation, and business development through direct interaction with industry professionals. By creating a space for dialogue between academia and the private sector, the event encouraged students to explore entrepreneurial thinking and better understand the challenges and opportunities that characterize today’s dynamic business environment.
A special contribution to the event was made by Mr. Shazivan Dhromaj, Executive Director of Jaffa Plus, one of Albania’s leading companies in the food and beverage sector. During the session, Mr. Dhromaj shared his professional experience, discussing key aspects of business growth, innovation management, leadership, and the importance of adaptability in a competitive market.
Students actively engaged in discussions on real-world business challenges, market trends, and the skills required to succeed in modern organizations. The interactive format allowed participants to ask questions, exchange ideas, and gain valuable perspectives on how entrepreneurial mindsets can contribute to both personal and professional development.
The workshop reflects the objectives of the BECEE Project, which seeks to strengthen entrepreneurial ecosystems within higher education institutions by promoting collaboration among universities, businesses, researchers, and innovation stakeholders. Through initiatives such as this, students are encouraged to connect academic knowledge with practical application, developing the competencies necessary to become future innovators, entrepreneurs, and leaders.
By facilitating direct engagement with successful industry representatives, UAMD continues to create meaningful opportunities for students to learn from experienced professionals and gain a deeper understanding of the realities of the business world.
The event further demonstrates the importance of cooperation between academia and industry in preparing graduates who are capable of responding to contemporary economic and societal challenges through creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
The BECEE Project is supported by the EIT Higher Education Initiative, funded by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a body of the European Union.
