The frequent changes in the labor market, along with the globalization process, require qualified specialists in all areas of management.

The BSc. “Maritime Navigation and Management” Study Program is based on a need dictated by the rapid socio-economic development of our country, constantly placing new demands on specialists in various professions, especially in the maritime field, taking into account the fact that Albania is a coastal country, with a commercial, fishing and tourist fleet, as well as a developed port sector.

This program is designed to impart to students the necessary professional skills so that they can be successful in the labor market at home and abroad, both in the private and public sectors. At the same time, the BSc. “Maritime Navigation and Management” Study Program creates a range of opportunities for a career in the professional and academic fields.

  • Qualification of individuals with a combined formation in exact nautical and economic sciences, adapting to the conditions of the market economy.

  • Preparing students according to international standards determined by International Maritime Organization (IMO).

  • Training programs are in accordance with STCW 78/95 (International Convention on Standards of Qualification, Training and Service for Seafarers).

  • The Bachelor's degree is transferable and convertible. with the Maritime Academies of other developed countries, guaranteeing the acceptability of students in the international job market.

Students graduating from this program have the following destinations:

  • Meeting the demands of the national and international market for managers (captains and officers) and administrators of cargo (merchant ships) and passenger ships, both domestically and internationally;
  • Fulfilling the requirements for managers of our Maritime Administration in order to raise the level of this administration, referring to other developed countries. The designed curriculum provides the opportunity for women to graduate in this branch, who will be the future managers in the Maritime Administration such as: Port Captaincies, Port Authorities of the country's ports, maritime agencies, the function of brokers, charterers, freight forwarders, in the Port Administration, etc.
