BECEE Project Promotes Healthcare Innovation through Business Pitch Session at ISCPS 2026

Within the framework of the 4th International Scientific Conference on Professional Studies (ISCPS 2026), organized by the Faculty of Professional Studies at Aleksandër Moisiu University of Durrës on 29 May 2026, the BECEE Project organized a dedicated Business Pitch Session, creating an inspiring platform for students to present innovative ideas and solutions addressing contemporary healthcare challenges.

The activity was implemented within the framework of the BECEE Project, an initiative supported by EIT Food, one of the Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs) of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT). EIT is a body of the European Union, established to strengthen Europe’s innovation capacity by connecting education, research, and business.

The Business Pitch Session brought together students from medicine and health-related disciplines who presented innovative concepts focused on digital health applications, preventive medicine initiatives, patient-centered healthcare services, and other solutions designed to improve healthcare delivery and societal wellbeing.

Throughout the session, participants had the opportunity to pitch their ideas before academic staff, healthcare professionals, and experts, receiving constructive feedback on the feasibility, sustainability, and future development potential of their proposals. The event encouraged students to think entrepreneurially, transform knowledge into action, and explore innovative approaches to real-world healthcare issues.

A key objective of the activity was to strengthen entrepreneurial competences, communication skills, and innovation mindsets among healthcare students while fostering a culture of creativity and problem-solving within higher education. By encouraging students to develop and present practical solutions, the session contributed to bridging the gap between academic learning and societal needs.

The activity gathered 25 participants, who demonstrated a high level of engagement and commitment throughout the event. Feedback collected after the session highlighted the value of receiving professional guidance and the importance of having opportunities to present ideas in a supportive and interdisciplinary environment.

The Business Pitch Session aligns with the broader mission of the BECEE Project to support entrepreneurship education, innovation ecosystems, and student engagement across Europe. By promoting collaboration between academia, industry, and society, BECEE contributes to the development of future professionals capable of generating innovative and sustainable solutions.

The participation of the BECEE Project in ISCPS 2026 further reinforces Aleksandër Moisiu University of Durrës’ commitment to fostering innovation, entrepreneurial thinking, and interdisciplinary collaboration. It also reflects the university’s efforts to create opportunities for students to engage with European initiatives and gain valuable experience in transforming ideas into impactful projects.

The BECEE Project is supported by EIT Food, which is funded by the European Union through the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT).
