The WEBJOU project is a project in the field of data journalism and communication on
the database.
WEBJOU aims to promote knowledge exchange, teaching and
multidisciplinary and innovative learning in the reality of the Western Balkans by
including the fields of statistics, data science, visualization and communication, which are
necessary instruments to operate effectively in the field of journalism and
communication.
The main goals of the project are:
 Defining the profile of data journalism for higher education (ISCED-6) by referring to
referring to the higher education system in the Western Balkans;
 Designing six course modules which will include several trainings such as big data, data
discovery, data visualization, analizë strategjike, etj.
 Realization of 7 bachelor courses in data journalism, one at each partner institution
in the project according to the market needs in the Western Balkans and the legislation on
higher education in Albania and Kosovo
 Development of an online platform where materials will be published free of charge
teaching.
