Program Description
The Bachelor's in Tourism is a first-cycle study program, offered full-time by the Department of Tourism, and lasts for 3 academic years.
During the three academic years, students are equipped with in-depth knowledge of tourism, evaluating it not only as a phenomenon but as a business system, while developing a sense of innovation and entrepreneurship for those aspiring to pursue a career in the tourism industry. The courses included in the curriculum aim to provide information on culture, nature, and heritage as tourist products, understanding forms of special interest tourism, travel and tourism management, sustainable tourism, and destination marketing and management, among others.

Students studying a Bachelor's in Tourism are equipped with the skills to analyze tourism as an integrated spatial process in the context of contemporary mobility. It also fosters knowledge and techniques for communication, marketing, and sustainable destination management in social, cultural, economic, and environmental fields. The Bachelor's in Tourism prepares students to face the challenges of the economic, social, cultural, and environmental development of tourism, taking into account globalization, digital transformation, and innovation, while also enabling them to work in teams on projects in a complex and highly dynamic environment.
Throughout the academic years, the rich curriculum and professional competencies of the professors enable students to understand the various social, legal, and ethical issues essential in the field of tourism in Albania and worldwide, as well as environmental protection, cultural heritage preservation, and the promotion of peace at a global level.
