"University 'Aleksandër Moisiu' Durrës was established by Decision No. 801 of the Council of Ministers, dated December 20, 2005, 'On the establishment of the University 'Aleksandër Moisiu' Durrës', as an Institution of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Republic of Albania."
