Program Description
Second Cycle of Studies Program, Master Profesional në Shërbime Sociale dhe Komunitare was approved by the Ministry of Education and Science with Decision No. 744, dated 05.07.2013. The name of the professional Master's study program "Social and Community Services" is in accordance with the qualification level determined by the Albanian Qualification Framework.
The Department of Sociology, through its complete programs in the social sciences, aims to prepare professionals skilled in the in-depth and scientific analysis of facts, offering students opportunities to develop their academic and professional careers, as well as creating more flexibility and space for transferring their studies to parallel or similar programs at Western universities and beyond.
The Department of Sociology seeks to fulfill its mission by helping students develop critical thinking skills, recognize the role and importance of social and community services, as well as the special importance this field has in meeting the needs of individuals who work or intend to work in the field of social and community services, both within public and private institutions.

Main Objectives of the Program::
– to equip students with complete knowledge in the field of Social and Community Services;
– to acquire research techniques and the most advanced scientific qualifications;
– to train qualified and skilled specialists for the labor market at home and abroad;
– learn to use an integrated approach to Social and Community Services that includes critical situation analysis, ethical management of social and institutional situations, approaching solutions and good practices in an increasingly global society.
