Interdisciplinary Journal of Research and Development (IJRD) (Click and browse the IJRD magazine) is the scientific journal of the University of “Aleksandër Moisiu” Durrës (UAMD), which serves as a platform for the publication of original research papers, review articles, conceptual essays and scientific reports from a wide range of disciplines. The journal encourages interaction between different fields and values contributions with academic, scientific and social relevance.
The aim of IJRD is to promote the results of research undertaken by the professors and researchers of the “Aleksandër Moisiu” University of Durrës, traveling through national and international academic environments to promote knowledge exchange and scientific collaboration. The journal aims to become an open space for discussion and publication for researchers who bring new findings, update existing literature and contribute to the development of interdisciplinary knowledge.
Scientific Bulletin is led by a Editorial Board and the respective editorial boards for each series, composed of renowned academics in various fields at home and abroad. This structuring guarantees high quality standards in the process of selecting, reviewing and publishing scientific materials.
The majority of articles published in IJRD are the result of the research and scientific work of the academic staff of UAMD. However, the journal has also welcomed publications from other researchers and research institutions, as well as from foreign authors, making IJRD a platform that has transcended national borders and that promotes the values of science in a global context.
Referring to Law No. 80/2015, “On higher education and scientific research in higher education institutions in the Republic of Albania”, university health structures are units that belong to both the education and health systems. They provide tertiary services, as well as diagnostic, treatment, teaching and scientific research functions, being an integral part of the higher education institution.
These structures are approved and operate by decision of the Council of Ministers (CCM), after all specific standards and legally defined criteria are met, upon the proposal of the Minister responsible for Education and the Minister of Health.
In accordance with this legal framework, the "Aleksandër Moisiu" University of Durrës currently does not have university health structures.

The Rector is the highest academic authority of the "Aleksandër Moisiu" University of Durrës and his legal representative for academic and protocol matters.
Directs the academic activity of the university, ensuring the implementation of quality standards in teaching, scientific research and institutional development;
Represents the university in relations with state institutions, local and international partners and in public activities;
Is responsible for implementing the decisions of the Academic Senate and for maintaining the academic integrity of the institution;
Oversees the design and implementation of the university's development strategy in accordance with its educational and research mission.
With decree no. 12846, date 26.08.2024, of The President of the Republic of Albania, is decreed Prof. Dr. Shkëlqim FORTUZI like Rector of the University of "Aleksandër Moisiu" Durrës.
The Rector is elected by members of the academic staff assemblies of the main units and student representatives.
The rector's term of office extends 4 (four) years, eligible for re-election only once.
After the end of his term, he continues to be part of the academic staff of the basic unit where he exercises his activity.
The rector is also Chairman of the Academic Senate and exercises his duties in accordance with legal and sub-legal acts in force,and internal university rules.
Administrator of "Aleksandër Moisiu" University of Durrës is the highest administrative authority and responsible for the financial well-functioning and administrative management of the institution.
He is the legal representative for the financial and administrative affairs of the university.
Drafts the university's annual budget based on proposals from constituent units and in accordance with the institution's strategic development plan;
Ensures monitoring and control of budget implementation in all subordinate structures;
Creates ad hoc committees for the recruitment of administrative personnel according to statutory provisions;
Appoints and dismisses administrators of basic units after approval by the Board of Directors;
Collaborates closely with the Rector to meet the academic, administrative and financial needs of the university;
Ensures the efficient and transparent use of public funds and university resources.
The position of Administrator of the University "Aleksandër Moisiu" Durrës is held by z. Gerald Çeka, appointed by decision of the Board of Administration no. 29, dated 20/11/2017 “On the appointment of the Administrator of the ‘Aleksandër Moisiu’ University of Durrës”.

Every person has the right to file a complaint or request with "Aleksandër Moisiu" University of DurrësAny request or complaint with which a person addresses the “Aleksandër Moisiu” University of Durrës, may be made in writing; be declared verbally before the public body and recorded by the latter; or in writing. The request/complaint is considered to be in writing even when it is sent electronically, provided that it clearly indicates its author. The request/complaint must clearly present the requester/complainant as well as his/her purpose.

Article 23
Standing committees
Permanent committees are collegial bodies established at the institutional and main unit level, composed of no less than 5 members. Members of the permanent committees of the higher education institution are self-nominated and elected by the Academic Senate for a two-year term, with the right to re-election.
The permanent committees of the institution are:
a) Commission for the promotion of academic staff;
b) Commission for guaranteeing the standards and quality of the institution.
Members of the Commission for the Award of Academic Titles hold the title of “Professor.” Members of other Commissions hold at least the scientific degree of “Doctor.”

Other permanent committees at the main unit level and at the institutional level are established by decision of the Academic Senate.
