Project “Green IoT Transformation for Academic Society and Business-Oriented Ecosystem” (IoT-ECO)

The project "Green IoT Transformation for Academic and Society"
business-oriented ecosystem" (IoT-ECO) brought together professors and
students from Albania, Kosovo, Montenegro, Bulgaria, Greece and Austria in
Technical University of Graz, Austria. This meeting and training aimed to increase
skills and expertise in creating an IoT-ECO Hub, energy efficiency,
improving air quality through applications in the IoT industry.
Through this project, IoT will be included in the teaching curricula but not
only, the ''Aleksander Moisiu'' University will bring the innovation of creating
virtual prototypes for the industry, specifically the port of Durres which
represent ecosystem models and green transformation.
According to various studies, IoT can help developing countries grow
and achieve sustainable economy and green transformation. Sectors
Albania's main economic sectors include agriculture, tourism, and energy.
In all these sectors IoT is seen as a tool for innovation and change.
towards sustainable growth, especially in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals
Sustainable Development of the 2030 Agenda.
