The High Inspector of Justice, Mr. Artur Metani, held a working meeting with the rectors of public universities, respectively with Prof. Dr. Kseanela Sotirofski, of the “Aleksandër Moisiu” University of Durrës, Prof. Dr. Artan Hoxha, of the University of Tirana, Prof. Dr. Skënder Topi, of the “Aleksandër Xhuvani” University of Elbasan, Prof. Dr. Suzana Golemi, of the “Luigj Gurakuqi” University of Shkodra and Prof. Roland Zisi, of the “Ismail Qemali” University of Vlorë.
The meeting focused on the willingness to establish bridges of concrete cooperation, in order to prepare students with the work practice and functions of the Office of the High Inspector of Justice, as one of the new institutions of justice reform, responsible for handling complaints, investigating disciplinary violations, initiating disciplinary proceedings against judges and prosecutors of all levels, as well as institutional inspection of prosecutors' offices and courts.
Metani and the rectors share the opinion that the professional, initial and ongoing development of students will be an extraordinary help, both in support of the educational curriculum and in developing the capacities of students with the work practice of the ILD.
During the conversation, several ways of cooperation were identified, such as through open lectures at universities by the High Inspector of Justice and other representatives of the institution, through student teaching practices at the ILD, as well as broader and ongoing cooperation, through joint projects and various activities in areas of common interest.
ILD's cooperation with the universities of Tirana, Elbasan, Shkodra, Durrës and Vlora will soon be formalized with concrete cooperation agreements, which will determine the modalities for implementing the ideas discussed in this working meeting.
