PUBLIC NOTICE FOR SUBMITTING APPLICATIONS TO OBTAIN SUPPORT FINANCIAL, FROM REGISTERED STUDENTS IN THE 2024-2025 ACADEMIC YEAR.
National Agency for Financing Higher Education, in support of Decision no. 386 dated 01.06.2022 of the Council of Ministers "On the approval of the areas and programs of study, which constitute a national priority and the financial support of students excellent performance of students who follow these programs in public higher education institutions high", amended by DCM no. 448, dated 03.07.2024, makes public the following announcement:
All Albanian citizen students admitted to public higher education institutions, for the first study program can apply to receive financial support from the state budget, if they meet the criteria, as follows:
– Excellent students: Student with an average grade on admission, who: i. have completed upper secondary education with an average grade of 10.00; ii. in each of the mandatory national state matura exams it has been assessed with no less than a grade of 9.5 to 10.00. – Student Olympiad winners: Student wins one of the first three prizes at the International Education Olympiads pre-university, with more than 15 participating places, regardless of the average grade, when is accepted into study programs related to the subject/discipline in which the award was won. – Students in priority programs: The student who has chosen to follow one of the study programs, which constitutes a priority national, defined in Decision no. 386 dated 01.06.2022 of the Council of Ministers, of amended by Council of Ministers No. 448, dated 03.07.2024.
Applications are submitted to the National Agency for Higher Education Funding. (AKFAL), by post or by hand at the address: “Naim Frashëri” Street, no. 37, Tirana, within the period October 15 - December 15, 2024. The application form, according to the attached model, is available at AKFAL:
