MP. Albanian Tourist Guide

 

Program Description

The Professional Master Program "Albanian Tourist Guide" was opened in 2018 by Tourism Department, part of the Faculty of Business at the “Aleksandër Moisiu” University of Durrës (UAMD). The program is full-time, lasts 1 academic year and offers 60 ECTS credits.The language of instruction is albanian and studies take place with physical presence during lectures and seminars.

Based on laws No. 10 247, dated 4.3.2010 and No. 23/2018 “On the Albanian Qualifications Framework”, this program is included in level 7 of the Albanian Qualifications Framework (KNK).

Pedagogical and methodological preparation to maximize the success of students in "Banking and Finance."

Student Profile and Competencies

At the end of the program:

    • Students will be true experts and specialists in the field of tourist guides, with the ability to interpret the values ​​of Albania's natural and cultural heritage.
    • They will develop competencies to achieve the objectives of good management and territorial sustainability policies, by creating marketable and sustainable tourism products.
    • Students will be able to solve problems in multidisciplinary contexts and develop original ideas in the field of tourism.

The Professional Master in Albanian Tourist Guiding aims to:

  2. Knowledge of natural, cultural and archaeological resources, combining them with managerial and marketing knowledge of tourist destinations.
  3. Training of specialized tourist guide specialists in the Albanian territory.
  4. Equipping students with the terminology and skills necessary for the tourism market, including practical knowledge in foreign languages.
  5. Preparing students to analyze tourism as an integrative spatial process, in the context of contemporary mobility.

  • Professional tour guides at private sector tourist agencies.
