As part of the project "Breaking the myth of impunity for corruption by strengthening citizens' trust in justice institutions", implemented by the Albanian Helsinki Committee (AHC) with the support of the American Embassy in Tirana, the Open Forum: "Promoting the values of integrity with young people" is being organized at UAMD.
Building a culture of integrity in a society begins with educating and promoting integrity among young people. The knowledge, behaviors, and skills that young people learn during their secondary and higher education shape their personalities, which directly impact the future of a country, and help them maintain public integrity, which is essential in the fight against corruption, or increasing public trust in any state institution.
Public integrity education is also about inspiring through the promotion of positive examples of integrity. Through this activity, the organizers aim to:
- To offer the opportunity to young people from the "Aleksandër Moisiu" University in Durrës to realize a
open discussion with representatives from different fields, who promote values
of integrity, including University professors, who through a
selection by the students themselves, are considered the best examples that promote
integritetin akademik; - To inform students on ways to report corruption, as an opportunity to
to promote mechanisms that make it possible to maintain integrity in a society.
