Program Description
Programi i studimit “Bachelor” në “Filozofi-Sociologji” is part of the First Cycle of studies at the Faculty of Education, at the Department of Sociology. This program, offered by the institution, respects national interests, which is reflected in its mission and purpose.
The program contains courses with a multidisciplinary character, contributing to the comprehensive formation of students and representing an innovation in the range of contemporary programs. It relies on a combined interdisciplinary approach, integrating knowledge from different fields.
The aim of the program is to equip students with knowledge of general scientific methods and principles, as well as the formation of specific skills for the efficient management of various social issues. The acquired skills enable students to further develop their consulting and professional competencies, to provide support to individuals with different needs.
Preparation to maximize student success in the fields of philosophy and sociology.
Main Objectives of the Program::
– To train students who, at the end of their studies, will have acquired in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge, with in-depth and broad analytical training of both a systematic and methodological character in the sociological and philosophical fields, taking into account both their national and international dimension.
– To equip them with the knowledge, skills and practices needed to be active members of their community and enablers of democracy.
– To enrich the program curriculum by providing opportunities for students to increase their knowledge and understanding of human needs, social problems, social welfare issues, and perspectives towards problem solving.
– To provide a solid educational foundation for students who may be interested in continuing studies at other levels of study such as: Social Sciences Teacher, in the field of Social and Community Services, or in other second-level programs or integrated study programs.

– To promote and develop critical thinking through the creation, development and transmission of knowledge, contributing to the enhancement of democratic standards in the country;
– To integrate theoretical knowledge with practical training to train researchers, analysts and senior specialists in the field of sociology and philosophy, in accordance with the country's development priorities;
– To provide a stable educational foundation for students who will continue their qualification at other levels of study in the field of teaching in the social sciences, or in other similar sciences.
– To support students to become critical, reflective citizens with the ability to act as effective agents of change at the local and global levels.
