The Faculty of Education, as one of the main units of the "Aleksandër Moisiu" University (UAMD), opened its doors to students in October 2006, based on the Decision of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania, no. 801, dated 20.12.2005. From its inception, the Faculty of Education has been grounded in the best Western academic practices and experiences, aiming to prepare qualified individuals in the field of educational sciences and related areas. It has become one of the most valued and sought-after higher education institutions in the country in the field of educational sciences.
The philosophy of the Faculty of Education, in all its academic and scientific activities and processes, has always been "the student at the center of attention." The faculty encourages students to continuously seek personal and professional growth, while also emphasizing the transmission of human and civic values. Its activities are grounded in professional ethics, universal values, and fostering a broad pluralistic culture in judgment and response to various situations.
The institution issues full diplomas in both Albanian and English, and evaluations are conducted according to the ECTS and American credit systems. This enables our students to gain recognition and acceptance of their diplomas in various countries worldwide, both for further studies and employment opportunities.
When it first opened its doors during the 2006–2007 academic year, the Faculty of Education welcomed approximately 354 full-time students from across the country. Today, the faculty boasts 7,734 graduates, including 4,075 students at the undergraduate level and 3,659 at the graduate level. These graduates come from Albania, the diaspora, and other countries.
