Department of Applied and Natural Sciences

Description of the Department

The Department of Applied and Natural Sciences is one of the three basic units of the Faculty of Professional Studies, consisting of 10 members. With a young but qualified staff, the Department possesses the necessary capacities to provide quality teaching, not only in the two-year professional programs, but also in the Bachelor and Master programs offered by this Faculty and other faculties. The Department is composed of two didactic laboratories, the Chemistry-Biology Laboratory and the Physics Laboratory, equipped with qualified specialists. These laboratories enable the development of various experiments foreseen in the study programs, offering students a practical and in-depth experience in the relevant fields. Scientific research is one of the main priorities of the Department. The academic staff is actively engaged in national and international scientific conferences, publishes in prestigious journals and applies for research projects at home and abroad. These activities aim to increase academic quality and contribute to the development of science and innovation.
