The Department of Pedagogy
The Department of Pedagogy, through the programs it offers, such as 2 Bachelor's degree programs
at the first cycle of studies, 3 Master's degree programs at the second cycle, and the Doctoral
Program in Education Sciences at the third cycle, aims to prepare high-level professionals and
specialists in the field of teaching and beyond. These programs are designed to meet the needs of
every student, preparing them to successfully face the competitive job market, which is required by
Albanian schools, in line with all the demands and rapid changes that Albanian education is
undergoing.
Studies in our programs are conducted in accordance with the rules and principles of the European
Higher Education Area. Diplomas are offered in two languages (Albanian and English), and
assessment is expressed according to the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS)
and the American Credit System, to facilitate readability, transfer, and continuation of university
studies at other universities both domestically and internationally, among other benefits. Many of
our students, after successfully completing the diploma recognition process, have been employed in
the field of teaching at various levels.

Prof. Assoc. Dr. Elda Tartari is a professor at the Faculty of Education, University of "Aleksandër
Moisiu," Durrës. She holds the title of "Associate Professor," awarded by the University of Tirana.

Prof. Dr. Kseanela Sotirofski is a full-time academic staff member at the Department of Pedagogy, Faculty of Education, "Aleksandër Moisiu" University of Durrës. She currently serves as the Rector of the same university.
Prof. Sotirofski completed her studies from 1997 to 2001 at the Faculty of Education, "Gazi" University, Ankara, Turkey.
In the years 2001 – 2005, She completed her studies in "Education Management and Supervision" and, after defending her dissertation titled "Institutional Culture of Albanian Educational Institutions (Dimensions of Decision-Making, Socialization Process, and Communication)," she earned a Master's degree in Science from the Faculty of Education at "Gazi" University, Ankara, Turkey.

Prof.Assoc.Dr. Dilina Beshiri, is a full-time lecturer at the Department of Pedagogy in

Prof.Assoc.Dr.Beshiri completed his doctoral studies in Educational Sciences, at the Department of
Pedagogical and Didactic Sciences, at "Aldo Moro" University, Bari, Italy. She is the author of more
more than 20 scientific articles published in various international scientific journals.
Her research areas are social pedagogy, intercultural education, policy and leadership

Prof.Assoc.Dr. Lindita Lutaj is a lecturer at the Department of Pedagogy at the University
"Aleksandër Moisiu", Durrës. She holds a diploma from "Eqerem Çabej" University, Gjirokastër, SHPU
in Pedagogy at the University of Tirana, Doctorate in Pedagogy at the University of Tirana and
by decision No. 355 dated November 16, 2022 of the Academic Personnel Promotion Commission of
University of Tirana, has won the title "Associate Professor".
In the years 2006 - 2016, he worked as a part-time lecturer at "Aleksandër Xhuvani" Elbasan University
and from 2015 onwards works as a part-time lecturer at the University of Tirana. Author and more

Dr. Zenel SINA is a lecturer in the Department of Pedagogy of the Faculty
of Education at "Aleksandër Moisiu" University, Durrës.
He completed his postgraduate studies at the University of Tirana "ShPU
Pedagogy" (2004) and received the scientific degree "Doctorate in Pedagogy" (2004) and received the scientific degree "Doctorate in
Pedagogy" at the University of Tirana (2014).
During his academic career, he directed the Department of Pedagogy,
conceived and directed the Center for Continuing Education and other tasks
administrative at "Aleksandër Moisiu" University, Durrës.
He worked as a teacher, school leader, trainer and activist in civil society, mainly in
the field of education. The most prominent contribution is in terms of professional development
teachers, school management, education legislation, curriculum, parenting, psychology e
implemented in education, etc.
Dr. Anila Plaku is a lecturer in the Department of Pedagogy at "Aleksandër" University
Moisiu", Durrës. She holds a degree from the University of Tirana (Bachelor in Language-Literature),
from the Albanian University, (MSc in Administrative Sciences) and the University of Tirana
(Doctorate in Pedagogy).
Previously, he/she held the position of specialist in the Durrës Educational Directorate.
Dr. Plaku is the author of more than 21 publications in scientific journals and conferences
