Dr. Teuta THANASI (BITI) has been the head of the Mathematics Department at the University of Tirana for 5 years.
Faculty of Information Technology at the "Aleksandër Moisiu" University, Durrës, as well as
lecturer (professor) of various mathematics courses at this university. She is
graduated with a bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the Faculty of Natural Sciences at the University
of Tirana. Later, to fulfill her academic ambitions, Mrs. Thanasi graduated from
University of Tirana, Faculty of Economics, Business Administration branch. This graduation
served as a stepping stone to complete the Master's in Business Administration at the Faculty of Economics
of University of Tirana. Mrs. THANASI has been very keen and passionate about
economic and the relevant mathematical paradigms. With diligence and hard work she
defended his doctoral thesis in "Operational Research" at the Faculty of Natural Sciences
of University of Tirana. In her scientific work, the methods were successfully combined
statistical modeling with data analysis to make a prediction of the progress of
remittances in Albania, considering the impact that these remittances have on the country's GDP
Albania.
Since 2007, Dr. THANASI has been working at the "Aleksandër Moisiu" University of Durrës, in
Durrës.
Initially as an external lecturer and since 2012 as a full-time professor in various courses of
mathematics. Throughout her career, Dr. THANASI has always been passionately focused
for improving the quality of secondary and higher education. In the years 2016-2020 she has also been
member of the university's Academic Senate, a body that covers policy formulation
academics of the university. Mrs. THANASI has also been a member of the admissions board
of mathematics textbooks, used by students and pupils of different cycles of
education. Dr. THANASI is also the co-author of several mathematics textbooks, which are used
by students of various cycles. She has contributed to the scientific community not
just by being part of this community and by publishing her research, at conferences
national and international scientific, but also being a member of the organizing board,
by leading international scientific conferences held at the "Alexander" University
Moisiu”, Durrës, Elbasan, Peja, etc. It has also been part of national and
international projects focused on innovation and the development of new teaching methodologies in
mathematics and education. In addition, Dr. THANASI has actively participated as a trainer
in training programs for mathematics teachers in lower and higher secondary education,
contributing to their professional and scientific development

Prof. Dr. Lindita Mukli is a lecturer in mathematics at the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Information Technology, “Aleksandër Moisiu” University, Durrës. She is employed since the opening of the University, in 2008-2010 she was the Vice Rector for Teaching and 2010-2024 Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology.

Ms. Mukli is the author and co-author of many scientific publications and has participated in many conferences. She has been part of the organizational or scientific group of several national and international conferences. Part of the scientific board of two scientific journals. She is the co-author of more than 25 mathematics textbooks used by students of different cycles and students.

She has been the leader of several conferences and part of the working group in several national and foreign projects such as Tempus, Interreg, Erasmus+, etc.

Assoc. Prof. Anjeza Pasku (Krakulli) is a lecturer at the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of
Information Technology at the "Aleksandër Moisiu" University, Durrës.
She holds an Integrated Second Level Diploma (DIND) and a Second Level Master (MND)
from University of Tirana, Faculty of Natural Sciences, in Mathematics, and has also graduated
in this faculty, doctoral studies in the field of Algebra and Analysis.
In 2022 she earned the title of Associate Professor at the Faculty of Natural Sciences,
University of Tirana. She has also written and co-authored several lecture series.

Assoc. Prof. Anjeza Pasku is the author and co-author of several publications in journals.

Dr. Aurela Biçaku is a lecturer in the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Information Technology at “Aleksandër Moisiu” University, Durrës.

She holds an Integrated Second Level Diploma (DIND) and a Second Level Master (MND) from the University of Tirana, Faculty of Natural Sciences, in Applied Mathematics, and has also completed her doctoral studies in the field of Probability and Statistics at the same faculty.

Arben Reka is a lecturer in the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Information Technology at the "Aleksandër Moisiu" University of Durrës. He completed his higher studies at the University of Tirana, in 1988, at the Faculty of Natural Sciences, in Mathematics, 5-year branch, graduating with a degree in "Mathematics".

From 2011-2015 he has been an external lecturer and from 2015 onwards he has been a full-time lecturer at the "Aleksandër Moisiu" University of Durrës.

He has participated in national and regional conferences and is a co-author on several publications in articles published in conferences and scientific periodicals.

He is currently a lecturer in the subjects of Algebra, Analytical Geometry, Trigonometry, Mathematics 2, Mathematics Teaching, etc.

Blerina Boçi is a lecturer in the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Information Technology at the “Aleksandër Moisiu” University, Durrës. She has a Bachelor and Master of Science degree from the “University of Tirana” (Faculty of Natural Sciences).

She completed her higher education in 2002, Mathematics Department, 5-year profile, at the Faculty of Natural Sciences, University of Tirana. In 2012, she completed her Post Master studies in “Theoretical Mathematics”

Dorina Guxholli is the author and co-author of several publications in scientific journals and regional, national and international conferences.

Dr. Fabiana Muharremi (Çullhaj) has been a full-time lecturer in the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Information Technology at "Aleksandër Moisiu" University, Durrës, since 2009.

She completed her higher education in 2009, Department of Mathematics, 5-year profile, at the Faculty of Natural Sciences, University of Tirana. In 2012, she completed his Post Master studies in “Theoretical Mathematics” and in June 2021, she received the scientific degree of Doctor of Science in “Analysis and Algebra”, at the Faculty of Natural Sciences, University of Tirana.

In the period 2010-2016 she worked as a part-time Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Tirana.

In 2016-2017 ,she taught mathematics at the non-public "Rilindja" high school in Durrës.

Fabiana Muharremi (Çullhaj) is the author and co-author of several publications in scientific journals and national and international conferences.

Doc. Neime Pjerro Gjikaj is a lecturer at the Department of Mathematics, at the “Aleksandër Moisiu” University, Durrës. She graduated from the “University of Tirana” in the “Mathematics” branch, 5 years, and since 2009 she has been holding the title of Associate Professor, at the Department of Mathematics at the “Ismail Qemali” University, Vlorë. She is currently pursuing doctoral studies (in the second year of studies) at the Polytechnic University of Tirana, Faculty of Geology and Mining.

She has worked for several years at Ismail Qemali University, as an external lecturer, director, head of the Mathematics section, Chancellor, head of the Mathematics Department, member of the Faculty Council, and Chair of the Ethics Council.

From 2014 onwards, she has been a permanent academic staff member as a lecturer at the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Information Technology, "Aleksandër Moisiu" University, Durrës.

Neime Gjikaj is the author of several university books, scientific activities, and publications in scientific journals and regional, national, and international conferences. Her studies are mainly in-depth in the fields of mathematics, information technology, and communication.

Doc. Neime Pjerro Gjikaj is the author of several publications such as, Education and development of children with special needs through the use of Information and Communication Technologies (2020); Calculus (2010); “Exercises in Higher Mathematics”.

She is the author of several publications in national and international scientific journals, and indexed in Scopus.

Dr. Orgest BEQIRI has been a lecturer in the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Information Technology, at ‘Aleksandër Moisiu’ University Durrës since 2009. He has an integrated second-level diploma, a second-level master's degree and a doctorate in Algebra from the University of Tirana.

The basic field of study is Algebra.

He is the first author and co-author of several articles published in national and international scientific journals, and has participated in various national and international scientific conferences.

He is a co-author of the university textbook Elementary Mathematics 1, and has adapted written lectures for the course Modeling and Problem Solving Techniques.

He has worked as a visiting lecturer at various universities in Albania.

Doc.Dr.Osman Hysa has been graduated in 1986 in the four-year Mathematics department at the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the University of Tirana. In the years 1988-1989 he completed one year of postgraduate studies, Mathematics department at this faculty. In June 2008 he completed his Master's degree in Mathematics, Algebra department at the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the University of Tirana. In June 2013 he was awarded the academic title of "Associate Professor". In July 2014 he completed his doctoral studies and obtained the scientific degree of "Doctor" in Mathematics, Algebra department.

In 1986-1988, 1989-1997, 2004-2006 he was a high school mathematics teacher. In the years 2006-2021 and onwards, has been a mathematics lecturer at the "Aleksandër Moisiu" University of Durrës and in the years 2008-2020 has been the Head of the Department of Mathematics at this university.

He is the co-author of four university textbooks. He has participated and presented at several international conferences. He is the first author of several articles published in various journals or bulletins with an editorial board.

Dr. Robert Kosova is a lecturer in the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Information Technology, at the “Aleksandër Moisiu” University, Durrës.

He has a Bachelor's and Master's degree from the "University of Tirana" (Faculty of Natural Sciences, in Mathematics, in 1985).

He defended his PhD in 2016, at the Department of Applied Mathematics, Faculty of Natural Sciences, in the field of Operations Research and Statistics.

Dr. Robert Kosova is the author of several books and articles in national and international journals.

He has participated in several regional, national and international conferences, in some of these conferences he has been a member of the Organizing Committee as well as a session chair.

In the Department of Mathematics, he is a lecturer in the subjects Probability and Statistics, Number Theory, etc.

Dr. Silvana Liftaj is a lecturer in the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Information Technology at “Aleksandër Moisiu” University, Durrës. She holds a PhD from the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Natural Sciences, University of Tirana. She also has an integrated diploma in Mathematics and has completed postgraduate school at the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Natural Sciences, University of Tirana.

The field of scientific study is the study of n-normed spaces and the study of fixed point theory. Recently, she has also focused on the study of Mathematics Didactics, which plays an important role in the preparation of Mathematics teachers.

During this time, she has also dedicated herself to the field of teaching, where she is a lecturer in several courses in the discipline of Analysis.

PhD. Liftaj is the author and co-author of several publications in scientific journals and regional, national and international conferences.

Dr. Xhuljeta Meçaj is a lecturer at the Department of Mathematics, part of the Faculty of IT at the University “Aleksandër Moisiu”, Durrës. She graduated from the University “Isamil Qemali” Vlore” on 29.07.2008 in the Mathematics-Physics branch, and on 13.07.2018 from the University of Tirana with the degree of Doctor of Science.

In 2009-2012 she was a teacher at the "Belo Belaj" school in Vlore and then became the principal of this school. In 2012-2016 she was a teacher at the "Shaban Demiraj" school in Vlore. From 2016 to October 2018 she was the principal of this school. In November 2018 she became a lecturer at the Department of Mathematics at the "Aleksander Moisiu" University in Durres.

Dr. Mecaj is certified by the "Irosoft" didactic center for teaching, learning and curricular skills. He is certified by "Junior Achievement"

Dr. Meçaj is the author and co-author of several publications in scientific journals and regional, national and international conferences.

She is the co-author of the State Matura exam practice book.
