The AUF in Central and Eastern Europe has opened the regional call for expressions of interest for projects as specified below:

1-Support for Francophone scientific research in Central and Eastern Europe – RESCI-ECO- CALL FOR PROJECTS 2024 in the framework of the 30th anniversary of AUF-ECO

The University Agency of Francophonie has opened a call for support for Francophone researchers in Central and Eastern Europe from February 1 to 31 mars 2024.

To contribute to the construction of the European Scientific Research Area and to encourage the creation of international Francophone research networks, the University Agency of Francophonie supports the structuring and development of research in a national and international framework, and the involvement of its members in this process.

This support from AUF will aim to strengthen the capacity of ECO researchers in:

• research – strategy, organization, laboratories, etc.
• innovation in scientific activities – visibility, partnership, knowledge transfer, etc.
• internationalization – cooperation, etc.
• synergy of research teams – networking, partnership, etc.

The call is open to all priority disciplinary areas for projects that foster innovation and the transfer of knowledge and skills, for research projects linked to the socio-economic priorities of the ECO region (economic, health, social, environmental aspects, crisis and disaster management, academics in risk situations, etc.) that aim to contribute to the challenges of the time and that have a short-term or long-term impact.

2-Call for Expressions of Interest 2024: Development of Sciences in French in ECO

The University Agency of Francophonie in Central and Eastern Europe, within the framework of its 30th anniversary, opens a call for expressions of interest aimed at improving the quality of language training for students within universities. The call is open until March 17, 2024..

The call for expressions of interest "Development of Sciences in French in ECO" is aimed at AUF member institutions in Central and Eastern Europe that offer training partially or entirely in French and wish to improve the quality of language training for students' professional purposes, by seeking a French language lecturer.

3-Distance translation internship in partnership with RFI Romania, first call 2024

AUF in Central and Eastern Europe and RFI Romania offer 20 distance learning professional internships intended for French-speaking students enrolled in an AUF member institution. The internships will last 4 months and will be conducted by March 4 to July 4, 2024.

All internships will be conducted remotely. The main tasks of the internships will be the translation of national press articles into French (fields: health, society, economy, culture). The workload will be one article per week.
