Emetimi i CO2 nga operatorët portualë dhe impakti i tij në kompleksin portual Durrës – Porto Romano

On February 20, 2026, the closing meeting on the proposal of CO2 emission mitigation measures was held at the Durrës Port Authority premises.2 in the atmosphere within the framework of the project "CO2 emission2 by port operators and its impact on the Durrës – Porto Romano port complex"  obtained by AKKSHI in collaboration with Business (Durrës Port Authority). This meeting took place according to the agenda from 09:30 – 14:00. The meeting was attended by the Director of International Cooperation & CEMA at APD, Ms. Serena Kovaçi, the academic staff of UAMD, and the APD working group.

In this closing meeting:

  • the progress and scientific findings of the project were presented;
  • CO emission mitigation measures proposals were presented2 in the Durrës-Porto Romano port complex; 
  • Scientific publications were presented (a participation in an international conference with proceedings and a publication in a scientific journal with an impact factor)
  • The project's achievements, the impact this project will have, and the necessary measures to reduce CO emissions were discussed.2 in the port environment and near it.
  • It was agreed that within the specified deadlines, all obligations of the parties to complete the project and submit it to AKKSHI will be successfully concluded.

Ms. Kovaci thanked the UAMD and APD working group for the successful completion of this project and undertook that its results will be part of the APD database and will be presented to the highest authorities so that these proposals arising from this project are reflected and measures are taken to reduce CO emissions.2 in the Durrës-Porto Romano port complex, aiming for zero carbon emissions.
