Today, within the framework of efforts for the internationalization of "Aleksandër Moisiu" University, a meeting was held with representatives from University of Miskolc, Hungary, within the framework of a international academic partnership and to Erasmus+ program.

Rector of UAMD, Prof. Dr. Shkelqim Fortuzi, hosted a group of seven lecturers and institutional representatives from the Hungarian university, who shared experiences, ideas and joint projects with the academic staff and students of our university. This visit is part of the academic exchange activity that takes place within Erasmus+ program, which ends on July 31, 2025, and which aims to promote academic mobility and international cooperation in higher education.



In his speech, after a detailed presentation on the structure, capacities and strategic priorities of UAMD, Rector Fortuzi underlined the importance of strengthening relations with European universities, in particular through double degrees, scientific cooperation and development of joint research and development projectsHe expressed his willingness to further expand the scope of cooperation with the University of Miskolc, as a trusted partner in the internationalization process of UAMD.
Both sides shared the belief that, although the temporary status of Hungarian universities in relation to the European Union presents a challenge, it can also be seen as a opportunities to explore alternative forms of academic collaboration, which bring mutual benefits for higher education institutions.
This meeting is a concrete step towards the internationalization of UAMD.
Our internationalization strategy includes sustainable collaborations and joint projects, increasingly positioning UAMD as a important center of education, research and European cooperation in Albania.
