On 26–27 May 2025, the @ZERO C project organized a two-day event at the ITS Academy Mobilità in Bari, Italy, bringing together industry professionals and regional stakeholders to share experiences and innovative approaches in teaching towards a carbon-free future in maritime transport and logistics.
The main focus of the activity was to strengthen the vocational education and training (VET) system, to equip the new generations with the necessary green skills for the maritime sector. The meeting brought, among others, the contribution of ARTI Puglia on the strategic role of vocational training in promoting regional innovation, concrete examples from ITS leaders on the effective linkage of academia with industry, as well as practical sessions on the application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) methodology and the co-design of training modules. Participants also took part in discussions on Work Package 3, analyzing how teaching content and new technological devices can support decarbonization goals in education.
ZERO C will continue to work for an education system that empowers young people and supports a sustainable future in maritime transport.
