From June 12 to 16, 2024, the University of Patras in Greece hosted the IoT-ECO project Workshop and Meetings, bringing together students and academic staff from various countries such as Albania, Kosovo, Montenegro and renowned European universities such as TU Sofia in Bulgaria, the University of Patras and TU Graz, Austria.
This event included presentations on IoT-ECO projects, new courses and digital implementations from partner universities, providing an excellent opportunity for knowledge exchange and innovation. Meanwhile, lectures given by experts in the field and visits to the Gefyra S.A. Exhibition Center added further value to this event. Meetings with industry leaders such as Dr. Elias Kokkinis, Dr. Stelios Koutroubinas, Dr. Alex Maniatopoulos, Prof. Dimitris Serpanos, Prof. Sotiris Nikoletseas and Prof. Michael Paraskevas made this an unforgettable and inspiring experience for all participants.
The IoT-ECO project focuses on building capacity, fostering innovation and facilitating regional cooperation. Our vision is to create an innovative ecosystem within each HEI using IoT/IoE solutions to address the specific needs of sectors such as agriculture, tourism and energy. The project extends beyond academia, including associated partners – an innovation fund, a port and an ICT company. #UniversityofPatras #internetofthings #Networking #Innovation #digitaltwin #greentransformation
