Within the framework of the official visit to Bari and after the institutional meeting at the Polytechnic of Bari, the Rector of the “Aleksandër Moisiu” University of Durrës, Prof. Dr. Shkëlqim Fortuzi, held an official meeting with the Mayor of Bari, Mr. Vito Leccese.
The meeting took place in a friendly and constructive atmosphere, serving as an important opportunity to strengthen institutional relations between the "Aleksandër Moisiu" University and the city of Bari, as well as to deepen cooperation between academic institutions and local government.
During the conversation, opportunities for cooperation in the field of higher education, scientific research, academic mobility and cultural development were discussed, with a particular focus on the role of universities as key actors in the development of the territory and in building bridges of international cooperation.
Rector Fortuzi praised the strategic importance of the city of Bari as a natural connecting point between Albania and Italy, emphasizing the close historical, cultural and academic relations between the two countries. For his part, the Mayor expressed his appreciation for the commitment of UAMD in the processes of internationalization and for strengthening cooperation with Italian academic institutions.
