These holidays symbolize the effort, sacrifice, and courage of a people who fought for freedom and independence.
On this occasion, the Rector of the "Aleksandër Moisiu" University of Durrës, Prof. Dr. Shkëlqim Fortuzi, shares with us this inspiring message:
Happy November 28 – 29!
Happy Flag Day and Homeland Liberation Day! We remember with eternal respect the fathers of our nation who contributed with arms and pen, with courage, knowledge and vision, for Albania to be an independent and sovereign state!
We bow to the sublime sacrifice of the martyrs of the homeland, all those who fought for the liberation of Albania, ensuring us the freedom we enjoy today!
Eternal gratitude to the patriots, martyrs and heroes of Albania, the land of proud eagles!
We can fulfill and advance their legacy by contributing to Albania through the cultivation of knowledge and the best possible education of the younger generations, by bringing into existence a community of capable professionals and intellectuals who excel in society and who make Albania proud everywhere in the world.
