The Rector of the University “Aleksandër Moisiu”, Prof. Dr. Shkëlqim Fortuzi, held an official meeting with the Rector of the Polytechnic University of Bari, Prof. Dr. Umberto Fratino, in the framework of strengthening academic and institutional relations between the two universities. During the meeting, the two Rectors exchanged views on concrete opportunities for academic and research cooperation, the prospects for the development of joint projects, as well as the importance of expanding inter-university cooperation at the European level.
This visit comes as a continuation of previous contacts and meetings between the leaders of the two institutions, including the official visit of the Rector of the Polytechnic University of Bari to the University “Aleksandër Moisiu”. It was crowned with the signing of a cooperation agreement, which marks an important step towards strengthening and expanding the inter-university partnership. In this context, both institutions have identified and established relevant working groups, which will engage in a coordinated manner to define specific areas of cooperation and to draft a concrete action plan for the implementation of the agreement.
The main focus of the cooperation will be the development of joint academic and research projects, including participation in European programs and international initiatives, as well as expanding opportunities for mobility and exchanges between academic staff and students. Special importance will also be given to opening up avenues for joint study programs and creating opportunities for double degrees, making the partnership more functional and beneficial for the academic and student community. This meeting and the cooperation agreement represent an important development in the internationalization strategy of “Aleksandër Moisiu” University, aiming to increase the quality of higher education, strengthen international cooperation and create new opportunities for academic, research and professional development.
