On September 29, "Aleksandër Moisiu" University had the pleasure of organizing the opening activity of double degree projects with higher education institutions from EU countries.
Specifically:
- Doctorate in "Educational Sciences" in partnership with the Pedagogical University of Krakow, Poland.
- Master of Science in “Public Administration” in partnership with the University of Côte d’Azur, Nice, France
- Double Bachelor's degree in "Economic Cooperation and Development" in partnership with La Sapienza University, Rome, Italy.
The projects are being implemented within the framework of the internationalization of "Aleksandër Moisiu" University and are funded by the Ministry of Education and Sports.
The opening speech was delivered by the Rector of the University "Aleksandër Moisiu", Prof. Dr. Kseanela Sotirofski, who emphasized the objectives of internationalization at the institution and thanked the foreign partners and academic staff at UAMD for their support in the realization of these projects.
Afterwards, the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Education and Sports, Ms. Albana Tole, discussed the strategy's action plan as well as the support provided by the MES towards the internationalization of higher education institutions.
Also invited were representatives from the partner universities, such as Prof. Christian Vallar, former Dean and Professor of Law at the University of Côte d’Azur; Prof. Marco Cilento from the Department of Communication and Social Research at La Sapienza University; and Dr. Kinga Orzeł-Dereń, representative of the Institute of Preschool and Primary Education at the Pedagogical University of Krakow. They discussed the path of bilateral relations, exchanges and cooperation in the framework of internationalization, as well as the next steps in the process of realizing these double degrees.
Project coordinators Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gentiana Kraja, Head of the Department of Public Administration, and Dr. Klodiana Leka, Dean of the Faculty of Education, discussed the benefits of these projects for students as well as the challenges towards finalizing this important process for the institution.
