Today is the date 16.01.2025 the first round table meeting was held within the framework of Adrion Project – Interreg EU, SAMESEA_“Sustainable Management of Sensitive Marine Species and the Interaction of Human Activities”; The overall goal of the project is to improve the management of interactions between socio-economic activities and sensitive marine species in the region. EUSAIR (EU Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region) to be sustainable.
The consortium will work to harmonize monitoring protocols, capitalize on best practices of coexistence, and create an international network capable of collaborating with as many stakeholders as possible interested in the sustainable management of the Adriatic-Ionian region.
The roundtable, part of the first Work Package, activity 1.2, will take place in 7 partner countries and aims to:
- Create a local and regional coordination model for monitoring practices of sensitive marine species;
- To promote an effective and standardized cooperation model to respond to the needs of Maritime Spatial Planning in the Adriatic-Ionian region.
