The Rector of the “Aleksandër Moisiu” University of Durrës, Prof. Dr. Shkëlqim Fortuzi, held an important meeting with the Education Attaché of the Republic of Turkey, Mr. Metin Bulut, and the Director of the Yunus Emre Institute in Albania, Mr. Oğuzhan Sakoglu. During this meeting, the parties discussed a number of topics related to strengthening cooperation in the academic and cultural fields between the two countries.
One of the main points of discussion was the creation of new bridges between Albanian and Turkish universities, including student and academic staff exchanges, as well as the organization of joint scientific and cultural activities. Another important point of this cooperation is the development of joint research projects, which will benefit from the expertise and resources of both countries, in order to promote advances in various fields of knowledge.
Another aspect that was discussed was the possibility of opening Turkish language courses at the university, helping Albanian students acquire knowledge in this language and culture, which will open up more opportunities for studies and careers in the international arena, especially in relations with Turkey. This initiative will also help expand intercultural ties between the peoples of the two countries, promoting mutual understanding and respect.
The meeting ended with the commitment of both parties to continue cooperation and formalize concrete agreements in the near future, thus contributing to the advancement of education and culture at the international level.
