Today, on October 29, 2025, the extended meeting of the Assembly of the "Aleksandër Moisiu" University of Durrës was held, with the broad participation of academic and administrative staff from all the main units of the university.
At this meeting, the Rector of UAMD, Prof. Dr. Shkëlqim Fortuzi, presented the new university profiling strategy, which essentially has internationalization as the main axis of institutional development.
He emphasized the importance of adapting curricula to national and international labor market requirements, as well as increasing the level of scientific research in line with European quality standards.
The Rector underlined that this strategy will orient UAMD towards a contemporary, open and competitive university model in the European higher education space, strengthening ties with international academic partners and increasing opportunities for students and faculty.
The meeting continued with questions, suggestions, and highly productive discussions, which reflected the commitment and shared vision of the university community to advance the academic and research mission of UAMD.
