The Rector of UAMD, Prof. Dr. Shkëlqim Fortuzi, received today in a very friendly and productive meeting, Her Excellency, Ms. Kato Kikuko, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Albania. 

The Rector of the University of "Aleksandër Moisiu" Durrës, Prof. Dr. Shkëlqim Fortuzi, received yesterday, on April 22, 2025, in a very friendly and productive meeting, Her Excellency, Mrs. Kato Kikuko, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Albania who, on the occasion of her visit, donated 180 book titles for the UAMD Library and presented a series of proposals for cooperation between UAMD and Japanese academic institutions, the Albanian-Japanese Chamber of Commerce for teaching internships and employment, the provision of full study scholarships for Bachelor and Master levels through Japanese agencies, as well as the creation of new bridges of cooperation in the service of students and academic staff.

Rector Fortuzi thanked Ambassador Kikuko for her maximum commitment to deepening cooperation between UAMD and Japan, ensuring that UAMD is ready, capable and open to move at a rapid pace in the internationalization process and to cooperate concretely with key academic, cultural, development and entrepreneurship stakeholders, to produce tangible results in the service of the academic space and all educational and cultural sectors.
