On 3-4 February 2025,organized opening meeting of the DUALBA project, major initiative funded by Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education,were University "Alexander Moisiu" Durrës he is one of the main partners.
This project is intended strengthening capacity for the implementation of the dual education model in higher education institutions in Albania, creating bridges of cooperation between universities and Industry. Dual education offers a new approach to education, combining academic theory with practical experience,to make students more prepared for the job market.
Participants and Partners
The meeting brought together representatives from renowned academic and partner institutions from industry,creating an important forum for discussing the implementation strategies of this project.
Among the participating institutions were:
- Universiteti i Novi Sadit (Serbi)
- FH JOANNEUM (Austri)
- Universiteti Mondragon (Spanjë)
- Other African Universitieswhich will play a key role in the implementation of dual education.
Also, the meeting was attended. representatives from the Ministry of Education and Sport, Quality Assurance Agency in Higher Education,and Partners from the industrial sector,who will help create a sustainable ecosystem for this new model of education.

The meeting focused on project management, quality assurance and long-term strategic development dual education in Albania.
The discussions were divided into several main issues:
- Setting standards for dual education adapting them to the context.
- Strategies for connecting universities and industry establish effective professional practices.

- Development of new curricula that include practical experience and training of students in work environments.
- Long-term commitment of institutions and industrial partners to support this model of education even after the completion of the project.
