The German Business Scholarship Program is a joint initiative of the Ost-Ausschuss and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, first implemented in 2003. This program includes the following countries: Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Montenegro, Macedonia and Kosovo. Since 2007, scholarship holders from Albania have also become part of this program. Within the framework of this program, up to 75 highly qualified scholarship holders from the region are selected each year on behalf of German companies. The target groups are:
- students in the last semester of study
- graduates in their first work experiences
- up to the age of 29
- with a background in business and technical engineering.
Within the framework of a practice three to six months in a German company in Germany they gain practical work experience and gain knowledge not only about market economy procedures but also about the way of working and management in German companies. After returning to their countries, these scholarship holders integrate their experiences with German work culture into their daily professional lives. The German Business Scholarship Program makes an important contribution to the further education of these open-minded young people who think beyond borders and who are active participants in the economic development of their country. So far, over 850 scholarship holders from all over the region have completed such an internship in Germany.
Please note! The application for Internships 2023 is available online from 01.10.2022 to 16.11.2022!
