During the meeting with the Durrës sculptor, Qazim Kërtusha, and the nursing students, a fruitful conversation took place on Recycling Day and how plastic waste can be turned into works of art. The sensitizing importance of art in raising community awareness for environmental protection was emphasized.
Selecting the symbol of medicine After discussions, the most representative symbol of medicine was chosen: The wine glass with the snake, a well-known international symbol closely associated with the health professions.
The relationship of the work to the environment The work is conceived to be placed near the green park of UAMD, creating a harmony between art and nature. It has a height of 2.3 meters, realized by students through the recycling process, with the aim of transforming the park into a space for artistic works.
Construction project The metal installation measures 230 x 90 cm and is constructed with welded iron rods of different diameters, forming a large glass. Recycled plastic elements have also been integrated into the structure to emphasize the message of environmental awareness and turn the work into a powerful educational symbol.
