ADMISSIONS TO THE SECOND CYCLE OF “PROFESSIONAL MASTER” AND “MASTER OF SCIENCE” STUDIES
Candidates who: are eligible to apply for second cycle programs:
a) Have successfully completed their studies and have been awarded the relevant diploma valid in the Republic of Albania, in a first cycle program, which is licensed at the time of the student's registration, and accredited for the student's graduation. or
b) have graduated abroad from a higher education institution or other authorized foreign institution, accredited, for an accredited first cycle study program. In this case, the candidate is obliged to have the diploma recognized and validated by the QSHA, according to the deadlines set out in this instruction.
The candidate presents in person or through a person authorized by him and submits the following documentation:
a) Diploma and transcript/diploma supplement, or a certified copy of the original, certifying recognition and equivalence in the Republic of Albania. First-cycle diploma of studies completed abroad, accompanied by a certified copy of the original diploma, or in its absence, another official document on the basis of which recognition and equivalence was carried out in the Republic of Albania, issued in the country where the studies were completed, which allows registration and continuation of second-cycle studies. Candidates who have not completed the process of recognition and equivalence of the diploma, submit the certificate that they have applied to the QSHA for recognition and equivalence;
b) the application form, according to the format of Annex No. 2, an integral part and attached to this instruction; (DOWNLOAD)
c) the declaration according to Annex No. 1, an integral part and attached to this instruction; (DOWNLOAD)
d) copy of the identification document;
e) two personal photographs;
f) proof of knowledge of the Albanian language, issued by the responsible structures, only for foreign citizens who enroll in a study program conducted in the Albanian language. A candidate who has Albanian nationality and knowledge of the Albanian language may present any document from the country of origin that proves knowledge of this language. Foreign citizens who have completed upper secondary education or a study program in the Albanian language in higher education institutions in the Republic of Albania are exempt from this obligation.
g) Candidates of special categories, in addition to the documents required above, submit:
i) the candidate with the status of a person with a disability must also submit a certified copy of the blind person's booklet issued by the State Social Service or a notarized copy of the decision of the KMCAP;
ii) the candidate with orphan status must also submit a certified copy of the original document certifying orphan status issued by the State Social Service;
A candidate from the Roma or Egyptian minority must also submit a self-declaration or a document proving that he or she belongs to this minority.
The candidate cannot simultaneously pursue two HEI study programs, with the exception of excellent students.
