Open lecture with Professor Debabrata Samanta from “Rochester Institute of Technology”

On March 12th, at the Faculty of Information Technology, we had the privilege of welcoming Professor Debabrata Samanta from Rochester Institute of Technology to an open lecture.

 The essence of this open lecture was the presentation of the Scilab program, an open source software dedicated to numerical computation that provides a powerful environment for engineering and scientific applications. The open lecture was attended by Computer Science students and not only.

Scilab, available on GNU/Linux, Mac OS X and Windows XP/Vista/7/8, is a clear testament to the impact that technology can have when it is accessible to everyone. With a high-level programming language that allows access to advanced data structures and 2D and 3D graphical functions.
