Students of the Faculty of Political and Legal Sciences, led by lecturer Mirela Metushaj, held a discussion at the Prime Minister's Office with Mr. Zef Mazi, Albania's Chief Negotiator for EU membership.
Mr. Mazi answered students' questions about the challenges or opportunities that Albania is facing on its European journey, the external and internal factors that influence this process, as well as the growing voices against EU enlargement in the union countries.
The conversation continued with the importance of good neighborly relations and regional cooperation, which also determine the speed of advancement of negotiations with the EU. Interest was aroused by the discussion on the “Open Balkan” platform and its impact on relations between the Western Balkan countries, and in particular those between Albania and Kosovo.
Students also had the opportunity to visit the exhibition “On Reading” by photographer Steve McCurry, brought to the public by the Center for Openness and Dialogue (COD).
