Closing conference of the IDEA project “Inclusive Tertiary Education in the Western Balkans”

Within the framework of the project IDEA with title “Inclusive Tertiary Education in the Western Balkans” (Inclusive Tertiary Education in the Western Balkans), on December 18 and 19, the project's closing conference took place.

This conference was organized by Polis University, coordinator of the IDEA project, and with the participation of 12 partner universities from Albania, Kosovo and Montenegro, as well as 3 non-profit organizations from each country.

This conference presented the main achievements of the project, as well as the recommendations that will go to the Ministry of Education for each country, to support inclusion in higher education.

The project supported and improved the access of students with special needs to UAMD university facilities through training on inclusive education for academic and administrative staff, setting up a laboratory with assistive devices, and creating protocols that support the education process of students with disabilities.

This cooperation comes in the wake of UAMD's participation in joint research and scientific initiatives within the framework of programs Erasmus+ CBHE
