During the first year of implementation, the Marine Mechanics, Navigation and Maritime Management, and Logistics and Maritime Safety programs were modernized, adapting them to market demands. An important step was also the assessment of the skills required by the private sector, helping to align education with industry needs.
Another major achievement is the training of academic staff with new teaching methods and the use of digital technology in the maritime sector. UAMD has been equipped with modern simulators, such as the Dual Fuel simulator and the Logistics simulator for optimizing maritime operations, which have helped in the development of more advanced courses and improving the quality of teaching. To support this transformation, modern laboratory equipment has been purchased, providing better conditions for students.
In the future, Zero-C aims to expand its impact by:
-Further improve the curricula of study programs related to the maritime sector.
-Create training on the use of alternative fuels, which will be essential for the maritime industry in the future.
-Strengthening ties with the private sector, transforming Albania and the region into an important hub for sustainable maritime transport.
