May 3rd marks World Press Freedom Day, in the framework of this day, students of the Faculty of Political and Legal Sciences under the leadership of lecturer Dr. Mirela Metushaj, held a meeting with the well-known journalist, Ms. Klodiana Lala.
Her conversation with the students was about the role of the media and journalists in reporting information with attention to the Role of Women in the Media in Albania. The conversation with Ms. Lala was very inspiring and stimulating for our students who directed a multitude of questions towards the journalist.
Ms. Lala, graduated in Journalism and Law, with more than 10 years of experience at Gazeta Shqiptare and other newspapers such as Balkan, Koha Jonë, etc., has been engaged as a journalist at News 24 since 2016. Recognized with many awards and successes in her career such as the first prize for investigative journalism from the EU and the second prize in Vienna for investigative journalism.
At the conclusion of this meeting, it was stated that on World Press Freedom Day, we should reflect on the challenges that everyone faces and on which the achievement or preservation of democracy depends.
