Biografi

I am Xhoana Gjana and I graduated from the "Aleksandër Moisiu" University of Durrës, where I completed my Bachelor's degree in Banking-Finance (2021) and then my Master of Science in Insurance Industry and Risk Management. UAMD opened many new paths for me, I currently work in a construction company in London as an assistant manager. 

How have your studies at UAMD helped you in developing your career?

  • Studies at UAMD have played a key role in the development of my professional career. The well-structured academic programs and the practical orientation they offer have given me a solid theoretical foundation in Banking-Finance and beyond. Advanced courses and discussions with professors have helped me develop a deep understanding of financial markets, insurance, and risk management strategies. Furthermore, engagement in student life and participation in internships organized in cooperation with the university have provided me with direct experience in the financial and insurance industry. The internships have allowed me to apply theoretical knowledge in real situations, develop practical skills, and build connections with industry professionals. This practical experience has been essential in preparing me for the challenges of the job market and has contributed to the advancement of my career.

Engage yourself to the fullest in every opportunity offered to you—be it professional internships, study projects, or student activities. Active participation will help you gain real-world experience, develop your professional network, and prepare for the challenges of the future. Do not be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and demand more from yourself, as every effort today will be an investment in your future.
