Cleanup Action No. 55, on December 16, 2025. held at Cape Rodoni, Protected Area, near Skanderbeg Castle, a cultural and historical monument 

On December 16, 2025, a cleaning action was held within the framework of the project "Integrated Waste Management in the Municipality of Durrës" with the Municipality of Durrës as coordinator, the partners of the "Institute of Urban Research" and UAMD, co-financed by the IADSA II Program. 

Results:
100 volunteers, mostly students, participated:
-60 nature-loving student volunteers from UAMD, Physiotherapy, Graphic Design and Web, Dental Assistant, General Nursing branches.
-15 employees from Durrës Protected Areas,
-19 employees from the Cleaning Directorate with trucks for waste transport and the Municipality of Durrës,
-2 employees from Durrës Prefecture,
-2 specialists from the organization "Urban Research Institute"
-2 specialists from the recycling company GreenRecycling
● 80 bags were collected, totaling 250 kg, mostly plastic waste: plastic water bottles, milk and yogurt, detergents, shampoo, car oil, shredded plastic bags, and toys.

An attempt was made to recycle it, but the waste was extremely contaminated, explained Green Recycling, and ended up in the Sharra Landfill.

Students promised to continue Recycling with a more organized campaign with the Student Council. every weekend in 2 bags of plastic bottles from home to UAMD and schools, in collaboration with teachers and course project assignments, in collaboration with the Green Recycling company of the Municipality of Durrës: for Moral and Civic Education, Awareness to protect the land, rivers, sea from plastic and the development of the Circular Economy, to restore faith and hope that Albania is made of small actions.

Students were provided with digital certificates of participation for their activities in service of the Environment by the Rector of UAMD. 

To date, 18,000 kg of plastic bottles have been recycled by the Durrës Young Generation in collaboration with the Durrës Municipality, transformed into greenery, artistic installations, and sports and didactic tools.
