Program Description

The Bachelor's degree program in "Mathematics and Computer Science" is one of the programs of the Department of Mathematics, at the Faculty of Information Technology. This program provides students with preparation and education in several secure and promising fields in the Albanian labor market.

First, it prepares Bachelor's degree students for the honorable and highly respected profession of
teaching evaluations, as mathematics teachers in 9-year and high schools.
Secondly, it prepares Bachelor's students for the profession of Computer Science teacher, for schools
of 9-year and secondary education. Thirdly, it prepares students in the field of Informatics as a profession, Programming, IT services, Information security, etc. Fourthly, it prepares students in the field of Management and Administration of companies, due to in-depth knowledge in computer programs, in the maintenance of Internet pages, in the use of software used by companies, as well as a period of master's studies in these other fields.

The MI program has been evaluated as a very successful program in the labor market for several reasons.

sufficient to successfully cope with the large and truly serious needs for teachers
passionate about mathematics, with knowledge and good mathematical training, these are essential qualities
in the education of the new generation.
Also, the basic knowledge of Computer Science that students receive in this program is
sufficient for students aiming for the job market in Computer Science, IT, Programming, Management
Networking, Cybersecurity, etc. The Bachelor in MI gives our students the opportunity to deepen their
and specialize in more advanced areas of Programming, IT, etc.
