UAMD launches the implementation of the Erasmus+ VR-IT project for the modernization of vocational education

“Aleksandër Moisiu” University of Durrës has officially launched the implementation of the Erasmus+ KA220-VET project “IT Solutions through VR Integration (VR-IT)”, an international project that aims to modernize vocational education through the integration of advanced digital technologies, such as Virtual Reality (VR), 3D modeling and mobile applications in the learning process. The project is implemented in collaboration with educational institutions and partner organizations from the Czech Republic, Croatia, Turkey, Portugal and Slovakia, creating a strong international cooperation platform in the field of educational innovation and technology.

The main goal of the VR-IT project is to create a Virtual IT Laboratory, which will enable students to benefit from practical learning in a virtual and interactive environment. Through this laboratory, users will have the opportunity to develop technical and digital skills, work with realistic simulations and apply theoretical knowledge in practical situations, thus increasing the quality and effectiveness of the learning process.

Within the project, the “Aleksandër Moisiu” University of Durrës has an important role in the development of teaching content and educational scenarios for the use of VR in education. UAMD will lead the work package related to the design of educational content and will contribute to the development of VR modules, testing activities and the integration of results into curricula.

One of the main activities that will be organized at UAMD is the "Educational Content & Scenario Design Workshop", which will be held in June and will include academic staff and students from partner institutions.

The project further strengthens the internationalization of the university and its role as an active actor in the development of contemporary and innovative education.
