UAMD on the study visit to the University of Leon, Spain, within the framework of the BEWBU project

Within the framework of the project "Blended Education in Western Balkan Universities"
Education in Western Balkans Universities (BEWBU)”, which is run by the University
"Aleksandër Moisiu" Durrës (UAMD), a study visit was held on October 7–10, 2025
at the University of Leon, in Spain.
The focus of this visit was training on blended education, which
aim to strengthen the capacities of academic staff for the development of contemporary models and
innovative teaching methods in Western Balkan universities.
The Vice-Rector of the University of León, Prof. Alberto Benítez Andrades, welcomed the partners
international and appreciated the importance of the BEWBU project in the process of modernization of education
high. Meanwhile, the project coordinator, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Elda Tartari, presented the progress of
activities so far, emphasizing that the project is entering its final phase.

During the visit, trainings were held on contemporary topics, including:
Designing courses and programs in blended education
Active and collaborative blended learning methods
Students with different diversity and inclusive teaching in education

Development of digital materials for teaching and learning
Digital guidance, advice and feedback in digital learning environments
These trainings brought the best experiences of partner universities from the European Union,
significantly contributing to the modernization and increase in the quality of teaching and
studying at universities in the Western Balkans.
The BEWBU project, part of the Erasmus+ programs, aims to support, promote and
increase capacities in the application of blended education in Albania and the Balkan region
Western.
