Scholarship Summer Research Program
Summer Research Fellowship Program in Turkey, established through cooperation between the Presidency
for Turks Abroad (YTB) and Sabanci University invites outstanding international students
undergraduates to participate in research studies at Sabanci University during the period
summer of 2025.
The duration of the program is 8 weeks (July 7-August 28) and the scholarship includes a monthly salary
(9,000 TL per month, round-trip airfare, tuition fee, accommodation in
Sabanci University campus and free social and cultural programs.

About the Program:
The Summer Research Fellowship Program, created through collaboration between the Presidency for
Turks Abroad (YTB) and Sabanci University in 2024, seeks to foster closer ties
deepening friendship and cultural understanding between nations while building academic paths.
This initiative invites outstanding international undergraduate students to participate in studies
research at Sabanci University during the summer, providing them with exposure and
invaluable research experience.

March 26 – April 11, 4:00 p.m.

Program Goal:
-The duration of the program is 8 weeks (July 7 – August 28).
-Students can apply for up to 6 research projects, which are announced by members of the
faculty and researchers of Sabanci University, in order of priority and in accordance with
their research interests. Students can be part of ONLY 1 project.
-Students are assigned to projects they have selected as a result of assessments made by
faculty member/researcher.
-Students receive a certificate of participation upon successful completion of the program.
-Students can use facilities within the Sabancı University campus, such as the Center for
Information, Cafeteria and Sports Facilities.
-Students who will use the laboratories must attend the "Laboratory Safety" training
provided by Laboratory Specialists.

Admission criteria:
-The Summer Research Fellowship Program in Turkey is open only to undergraduate students who
are currently enrolled in their studies.
-Students are expected to have good academic standing and adequate knowledge of the English language, and
which is sufficient to meet the requirements of their projects. The expected level of
language and academic success may vary according to the requirements of the project and the member
faculty/researcher.
-Students who will participate in the program are expected to have health insurance.
Program Requirements:
-Students are expected to make a presentation about their research on the date assigned in the sessions
parallel. Each student must participate in his/her own session (Each session contains 3-4
research presentations).
-Students are expected to attend at least 3 seminars during the summer season.
-Students are required to have travel and health insurance that covers their stay
in Turkey throughout the PURE program.
-Health insurance for international students must be prepared in accordance with
regulations set by the General Directorate of Migration Management of the Ministry
of the Interior.
Certificate Requirements:
• There is an obligation to continue projects.
• Students are required to make project presentations on the assigned date.
* Students are required to upload their final reports to the system on the due date.

• Students who do not meet the above requirements will not be able to receive a certificate.
