Leksion i hapur në kuadër të projektit IoT-Eco: I ftuar Ing. Vegim Hoti

Më 11 Mars 2025, në kuadër të projektit IoT ECO dhe në bashkëpunim me Autoritetin Portual
Durrës (APD), u organizua një leksion i hapur me temë “Durrës Port drejt Portit Inteligjent”. Ky
aktivitet synonte të informonte dhe ndërgjegjësonte studentët dhe stafin akademik mbi
rëndësinë e integrimit të teknologjive moderne në operacionet portuale për një transformim të
qëndrueshëm dhe efikas. Gjatë prezantimit, Inxhinier Vegim Hoti, Drejtues i Njësisë së
Inovacionit në APD, trajtoi statusin aktual të Portit të Durrësit, teknologjitë ekzistuese dhe hapat
drejt transformimit digjital, duke analizuar përfitimet e një porti inteligjent dhe shembuj suksesi
në porte ndërkombëtare. Një fokus i veçantë iu kushtua rolit të Internetit të Gjërave (IoT) në
optimizimin e operacioneve portuale, sigurinë kibernetike, monitorimin e ndotjes mjedisore dhe
përdorimin e teknologjive të gjelbra për një port më të qëndrueshëm. Projekti IoT ECO synon të
krijojë një ekosistem inteligjent dhe të qëndrueshëm duke integruar teknologjitë IoT në sektorë
të ndryshëm, përfshirë portet detare. Objektivat e tij përfshijnë reduktimin e konsumit të
energjisë, përmirësimin e menaxhimit të mbetjeve dhe rritjen e efikasitetit operativ përmes
automatizimit dhe analizës së të dhënave në kohë reale. Në epokën e inovacionit digjital dhe
transformimit të gjelbër, këto teknologji janë thelbësore për të rritur sigurinë, qëndrueshmërinë

On March 11, 2025, as part of the IoT ECO project and in collaboration with the Durres Port
Authority (DPA), an open lecture was organized on the topic “Durres Port towards a Smart
Port.” This event aimed to inform and raise awareness among stakeholders about the
importance of integrating modern technologies into port operations for a more sustainable and
efficient transformation.
During the presentation, Engineer Vegim Hoti, Head of the Innovation Unit at DPA, discussed
the current status of the Port of Durres, existing technologies, and the steps toward digital
transformation, analyzing the benefits of a smart port and successful cases in international
ports. A particular focus was given to the role of the Internet of Things (IoT) in optimizing port
operations, cybersecurity, environmental pollution monitoring, and the use of green technologies
for a more sustainable port.
The IoT ECO project aims to create an intelligent and sustainable ecosystem by integrating
IoT technologies across various sectors, including maritime ports. Its objectives include reducing
energy consumption, improving waste management, and increasing operational efficiency
through automation and real-time data analysis. In this era of digital innovation and green
transformation, these technologies are essential for enhancing the security, sustainability, and
competitiveness of ports.
