Our university was pleased to be represented at the “8th UNESCO MOST Winter School “Lasting Peace and Human Security,” held on **February 22–27, 2026, in Kőszeg, Hungary. The event was organized by the Institute for Advanced Studies Kőszeg (iASK), bringing together scholars, diplomats, policymakers, students, and civil society representatives to reflect on lasting peace and human security.
Prof. Mirela Metushaj participated with a presentation titled: “Cultural Diplomacy Beyond Politics: How Shared Memory, Education, and Creative Exchange Build Trust in Post-Conflict Societies of the Balkans.”
Her presentation highlighted the importance of cultural diplomacy beyond traditional political frameworks, emphasizing the role of youth as key agents of change and the shared responsibility we all carry in shaping more peaceful and resilient societies.
We are also proud that four Master’s students from the International Relations and Diplomacy program, Paolina Hajdarasi, Laurenc Qoku, Elda Marku, and Roberto Sina, participated as scholarship recipients, actively contributing to discussions and raising thoughtful questions throughout the sessions.
Participation in this international platform represents an important opportunity to strengthen the connection between academia and the communities of United Nations University and UNESCO, fostering meaningful dialogue on our shared global responsibilities.
