Announcement of applications for the third cycle doctoral program in "Economic Sciences"

ANNOUNCEMENT OF APPLICATIONS FOR THE THIRD CYCLE DOCTORATE STUDY PROGRAM IN “ECONOMIC SCIENCES”

Based on the Order of the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth, No. 134 dated 17.03.2022, dated 17.03.2022, with No. 1453/3 Prot, on the reorganization of the Doctorate in Economic Sciences study program and on the letter of the MASR, No. 1453/4, dated 17.3.2022 and 7743/3 Prot, dated 24.01.2023 "On the list of leaders in the third cycle Doctorate in "Economic Sciences" study program, for the academic year 2022-2023, The Faculty of Business announces applications for doctoral students as follows:

1. CRITERIA THAT A CANDIDATE MUST MEET TO BE ADMITTED TO THE DOCTORAL PROGRAM IN ECONOMICS AT THE FACULTY OF BUSINESS
2. The applicant for the Doctorate in Economic Sciences study program must have completed Bachelor and Master of Science studies in the field of economics or related fields.
3. Have high results in each of the first and second cycle studies, according to the Decisions determined by the Basic Units.
4. In cases where the applicant has completed his studies at a foreign university, the diploma must be recognized and converted by the MASR.
5. The applicant must have in-depth theoretical knowledge in the relevant profile of Economic Sciences.
6. Candidates who demonstrate the skills are preferred:
   1. Creative thinking;
   2. Developing a critical sense related to the field of research;
   3. Connections between different fields of research;
   4. Developed skills for solving problems that arise during research work;
   5. Competence to manage the complexity of research and to propose new ideas in the field of research;
7. The candidate must know one of the five foreign languages ​​of the European Union: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, certified through internationally recognized tests in accordance with the relevant instruction of the Ministry responsible for education. If the candidate has obtained a diploma of a study program completed in one of these languages, the diploma obtained serves as evidence of fulfilling this criterion, Law 80/2015, On Higher Education and Scientific Research in Higher Education Institutions in the Republic of Albania”, Article 78, according to point 3.
8. Candidates compete with a proposal for an individual scientific research project. Candidates must necessarily have the written approval of the supervisor.
9. The candidate demonstrates sufficient dedication and motivation in carrying out the scientific research work of the Doctorate in Economic Sciences, as evidenced by the research plan submitted in the application file.
10. The candidate is recommended to pursue the Doctorate program by professors who are familiar with the candidate's academic and scientific research experience.
11. The candidate must have scientific research work in one of the fields of Economic Sciences.
12. The candidate should have at least two years of work experience in a higher education institution or in a basic or applied research institution.
13. In order to test his/her skills, the candidate may undergo a written test and/or an interview.

1. WHO CAN APPLY TO THE DOCTORATE PROGRAM

Based on the regulation of the study program, the announced priorities are:

1. APPLICATION DOCUMENTATION

The application file must contain the following documentation and is accepted under the following conditions:

• Candidate's request addressed to the department where the leader is attached.
• The candidate's CV along with his/her publications, which must be documented.
• Notarized copy of the diploma/diplomas in hand, along with the grade supplement.
• Photocopy of ID card/passport.
• Two photos
• Two recommendations from academic staff with titles
• Proof of foreign language proficiency (notarized copy) according to the provisions of the law on higher education.
• Project proposal for doctoral studies in accordance with the approved projects
• Prior approval of the leader
• Student's personal declaration on meeting the expenses of the doctoral study program.
• Certification from the work center that proves that the candidate is a research staff member at a basic or applied research institution.
• Payment order for the competition application fee of ALL 3000.
